I've finally finished a seasonal Christmas piece, I've started it January 21th, 2007. That's The Christmas Elf Fairy, by Mirabilia. I've stitched it on a 32ct Belfast linen opalescent Treasure Trove by Silkweaver. Veronica my blog: Purr-Stitch

Hello dear stitcher!
Nobody posting here anymore?
Anyway, this are the two latest finishes on my big seasonal project, Calendar Cat: March cat (finished from some time now), and August, just finished last saturday.

March cat, with January and February

August cat

This is how the entire piece is looking now.

Since I really want to finish this by the end of the year, soon new pics will follow of the unfinished cats: April, May, July and December.

Happy stitches to all.

Hello dear stitchers!
I see this blog has got stuck in winter! Well, now that I think of it, we are in winter now, but on the other side of the globe!
Now here in Italy it's summer, and a boiling one!
So I think I'll bring the blog a little bit up to date!

First, spring!
My big project (Calendar Cats) is still unfinished (shame on me), and this can be also said about my spring cats, March April (really just an orange blur) and May.

Calendar Cats so far

May Cat

While Spot of Spring by the Drawn Thread is finished

Spot of Spring

I'm making it as a bellpull as Nicky already did!

As for summer, just a cat to show you, June

June Cat
And Spot of Summer is nearly completed

Spot of Summer

That's all for now, I'll try stitching July and August cats before September 21st!

Hope to see you all back here!

Happy summer, and winter, to all!

I've decided that this year I want to finish up my baubles (SamSarah Designs) - last year I only managed to stitch March and April and wasn't able to completely finish up the cubes. Hopefully this year will be better. So here is January, mounted on its half of a cube (February will get attached to the back next month). It was stitched straight, but got a bit wonky when I laced it to the box, and since I only noticed once the cording was sewn on, it's not coming off! It's only for me, and now I know I absolutely need to lace rather than glue together, so hopefully Feb will be straighter.

I'm also hoping to work on my monthly house sampler (Grilles de Maryse) so if I'm lucky will have some more pics for the blog.
